Spain’s Real Madrid strengthened their lead in Group C of the European Champions League with a 2-1 win over hosts Sporting Braga in the third round of the main continental competition.
Real Madrid increased its score in the group to 9 points, while Sporting Braga’s score was frozen in third place (last) with 3 points.

Real took the lead through Rodrigo in the 16th minute before Jude Bellingham added a second in the 61st minute, while Alvaro Jalo scored Braga’s only goal in the 63rd minute.
In another match in the same group, Italy’s Napoli beat Germany’s Union Berlin thanks to a clean-sheet goal by Giacomo Raspatori in the 65th minute.
Napoli increased their score to 6 points, Real Madrid lead the standings, while Union Berlin finished last without points.
In Group Four, Italy’s Inter Milan secured a stunning 2-1 win over hosts Red Bull Salzburg in Austria, while Spain’s Real Sociedad narrowly beat Portuguese hosts Benfica with a clean sheet from Bryce Mendes (63). )
Sociedad lead Group D with 7 points on goal difference from second-placed Inter Milan. Red Bull’s tie stands in third place with 3 points and Benfica is in last place with no points.
In the first group, England’s Manchester United registered their first win in the Champions League, beating their Danish hosts Copenhagen with a clean sheet from international defender Harry Maguire in the 72nd minute.
Copenhagen managed to draw level with the referee awarding a penalty kick in the sixth minute of stoppage time, but goalkeeper Andre Onana brilliantly blocked Jordan Larsson’s shot.

Manchester moved up to third place with 3 points and moved off the bottom of the table, while Copenhagen dropped to last place with one point.
Bayern lead the group stages with 9 points on full points after a 3-1 win over their Turkish hosts Galatasaray, who are second on 4 points.
England’s Arsenal defeated Spain’s Sevilla 2-1 in the second group match.

Arsenal led the group with 6 points, while Sevilla’s score remained frozen in third place with two points.
Arsenal took the lead through Gabriel Martinelli in the third minute of the first half, before Gabriel Jesus scored the second goal in the 53rd minute.
Nemanja Godal scored Sevilla’s only goal in the 58th minute.
Within the same group matches, French club Lens drew 1-1 with their Dutch hosts PSV Eindhoven. Lens increased his score to 5 points in second place, while Eindhoven’s score was 2 points in fourth and final place.
