The organization’s report warned Doctors Without Borders Ever since an evacuation order issued by Israeli occupation authorities forced more than a million people to flee the southern Gaza Strip, people have been forced to make very difficult choices between staying and leaving, a choice health workers point to. Between leaving patients near death or surviving and risking their lives.

Some workers have been forced to leave, some of them continue to work despite the dangers, and medical workers suffer the same fate as the rest of Gaza’s population, the report explained, due to continuous bombing over the past ten years. Many doctors and other health workers have died since the Israeli offensive began.

The report said, “between 800 and 1,000 people are injured in the Gaza Strip every day, but only this number can reach the hospital, because the lack of gasoline makes access to health facilities very dangerous and difficult. Only the most seriously ill are injured.” “They seek the hospital.”

The report stressed: “Without electricity, many patients would die, especially those in intensive care, newborns and respiratory support devices. Patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes and cancer and pregnant women are also at common risk. Drug shortages.”
