Several Australian and Indonesian media quoted Duhir as saying on Wednesday: “We are discussing with Australia about submitting (a trophy).”
He added that Malaysia and Singapore could be co-hosts in the joint file.
Saudi Arabia is considered the most likely candidate to host the 2034 World Cup, which Asian and Oceanian football confederations are vying for the honor of hosting.

They want to submit their files to organize the World Cup.
Documents for a final bid must be submitted to FIFA by July 2024.

Dohir, considered one of the most important ministers in the Indonesian government, added, “They expressed their desire to do the same to me. We were waiting for the Australian government to be serious about working with Indonesia.”
Last week, FIFA announced that the 2030 World Cup will be held in Morocco, Spain and Portugal, with the first three matches of that edition taking place in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay, as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations of the opening. First World Cup.
The announcement still needs final approval from the FIFA Congress, which meets next year.
