Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, visited the “ADIPEC 2023” exhibition under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin State President Saeed Al Nahyan at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).

During his tour of the fair, His Highness explored a number of participating local, regional and international arenas, where he explained the latest technologies and pioneering solutions that help advance climate action efforts through energy transition and decarbonisation. Appropriate solutions to the global challenges facing the energy sector.

His Highness heard a brief presentation from the exhibitors about the most important projects and initiatives in the energy sector and the latest ideas and solutions related to its sustainability.

During this visit, the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and designated President of the Conference of the Parties (COP28), Dr. Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Jaber accompanied them.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said, “The UAE has made important strides in addressing the challenges of energy and climate change through its strategies and investments in the sector and launching clean and renewable energy projects. “Sustainable,” he pointed out the importance of concerted efforts by all concerned parties in the world to create a sustainable future that serves all humanity and its contributions in presenting ideas and initiatives compatible with the development goals.

He praised ADIPEC’s role in supporting climate action efforts, as it has become a global platform for exchanging ideas and visions, and discussing the latest trends to help find appropriate solutions to create a more sustainable future in the energy sector.

This year’s edition of ADIPEC has four special zones that aim to create a sustainable future between sectors and partnerships in the energy sector, namely: Carbon Emission Reduction Acceleration Zone, Maritime and Logistics Operations Zone, Digitalization in Energy Zone. Department, and Manufacturing Industries Exhibition and Convention and Manufacturing.

In addition, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Saeed Al Nahyan, Chairman and CEO of “Inpex – Kotco”, a Japanese oil company specializing in the development of oil fields, visited Takayuki Uda.

During the meeting, ways to improve joint cooperation in the field of energy security and support alternative initiatives in the energy sector, opportunities to expand the scope of existing partnerships, and to accelerate efforts to find low-emission energy solutions were discussed.

The meeting took place during His Highness’s visit to the ADIPEC Conference and Exhibition in 2023. It is noteworthy that the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has established a strategic partnership with the Japanese company “Inpex”, which has been working in the oilfield sector since 1973. Development, which is the parent company of the Japanese oil company “Jotco”, has succeeded in securing several land and offshore concession contracts in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Inpex was a founding partner of the Abu Dhabi Intercontinental Futures Exchange, launched in March 2021.

Strengthening global partnerships

The ADIPEC 2023 exhibition is being held this year under the theme “Accelerating Emissions Reduction”. Together” until October 5, with the aim of strengthening global partnerships, finding appropriate solutions to decarbonise and ensuring energy security for future generations. The exhibition is expected to attract 160,000 visitors from 164 countries, 2,200 exhibiting companies and the participation of 40 ministers from around the world.
