According to the Daily Mail, Saudi representatives arrived in London yesterday evening to enter the final stages of negotiations regarding the inclusion of Mohamed Salah in the Saudi Professional League during the current summer transfer window.

Anfield Watch’s official Twitter account quoted the Daily Mail as saying that officials from the Jeddah Etihad club have arrived in London as a last-ditch effort to sign Mohamed Salah before the transfer window officially closes.

The newspaper commented on Mohamed Salah’s potential and the extent of his importance to Liverpool FC in a statement: “Three things seem certain in life: death, taxes and Salah scoring at least 30 goals in all competitions in a season.”

The statement added: “There are exceptionally few who can match Salah’s goal tally post season, but one of the elements of his game that can be underestimated is his style of play, his vision and his ability. Find the right pass at the right time.”

Last season, in addition to scoring 19 league goals, Salah turned scorer and scored 12 goals (a tally bettered only by Kevin De Bruyne, considered the best attacking midfielder in the world).

Salah’s shift from being a prolific goalscorer to an all-rounder has been a continuing trend this season, with the winger scoring two goals and providing two assists in the first four games of the season.
