Today, teaching staff in more than 23,000 public schools began their duties in the new academic year (2023-2024), organized by the Emirates Foundation for School Education from August 21 to 25. 160 training workshops to improve the capacity of teachers.To impart new skills to them by informing them about the latest developments in research and teaching methods in their specialized fields.

Honorable Sara bint Youssef Al Amiri, Minister of Public Education and Advanced Technology and Chairman of the Emirates Foundation for School Education, said, “Today marks the start of a special training week that the Foundation conducts every year before the start of the academic year. Improving the role of teachers and school heads in providing an optimal educational environment to our students through training programs in line with the latest developments in teaching and learning practices, with the aim of providing academic staff with new experiences and skills in their specialties and informing them about the latest technological applications that can be used in the educational process.

Further, “This year’s Training Week is witnessing educational programs developed and organized for the first time, within the framework of the Foundation’s interest in developing and enabling the skills of its employees, in collaboration with professionals and experts in the field of education. Noting the importance of developing the capacity of teachers to carry out their educational mission in accordance with international best practices, as a basic pillar for the implementation of educational programs and policies aimed at advancing the education sector, in addition to their vital and important role in nurturing and building the minds of future generations and implementing all strategies to achieve the goals and aspirations of the government in the national education sector. .

Congratulating the teachers and all the staff working in the education sector for the new academic year, he appreciated their efforts and dedication in fulfilling their noble educational mission and called upon them to continue these efforts to achieve better results and progress in the education sector.

The special training week – targeted at 20,558 male and female teachers, 1,759 school heads and 1,175 professionals – saw various educational activities, especially the “Inspiring Ideas” event, which gave eminent teachers an opportunity to share their ideas and experiences with their peers. It has a positive impact on students’ education and their proposals for the development of academic work. This is according to three main axes: teaching and learning practices, managing student behavior and developing future skills. The event encourages teachers to shed light on their creative ideas, enhance their performance and showcase their innovative potential, which will reflect positively on the performance of schools and students.

An event titled “Leaders’ Conversation” was organized with the participation of external partners and experts from the Emirates Foundation for School Education, and discussed the importance of continuous improvement of student performance and excellence in school leadership.
