The unexpected change comes after tech billionaire Elon Musk held talks with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Culture Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano, pledging their support for the epic showdown over providing a historic heritage site for the fight between them.

“Everything within the range of the camera is similar to what happened in ancient Roman times, so there’s nothing new about it,” Musk wrote on his X platform. In another message, Musk wrote about The Gladiator movie, “The Gladiator.”

Musk hinted that the two rival networks will be “hosted by the fight,” and the battle of the tech giants is scheduled to be broadcast live on the Meta and X platforms.

The entire structure reflects the aesthetics of ancient Rome, Musk revealed details, and also confirmed that the event will be hosted by their organizations (not the UFC).

Musk’s statement paid a respectful nod to Italy’s rich past and present, with all proceeds going to war veterans and keeping the event in line with a noble cause.

Adding to the hype, Musk recently shared a health update, noting that his right shoulder blade required minor surgery, adding, “I spent 3 hours in an MRI machine.”

“My C5/C6 fusion is stable, although I have a problem with my right shoulder blade rubbing against my ribs, which requires minor surgery and will only take a few months to heal,” Musk said.

As for Mark Zuckerberg, his social media updates suggest that he is interested in an Elon Musk bot and has suggested August 26 as a possible date, but Musk is waiting for confirmation.

Talks began about hosting an MMA fight between the two tech giants, and after Musk challenged the impact of the news about Zuckerberg’s launch of the Meta Threads app, SpaceX’s CEO said, “If I’m ready for a cage match. It’s lol.”

Musk had previously challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin to “a fight” over the conflict in Ukraine.
