In an audio recording obtained by Al-Jazeera today, Rapid Support Forces Commander Muhammad Hamdan Tagalo (Hamidi) said the war in Sudan has doubled the suffering of the Sudanese people, especially in Khartoum and Darfur, as fighting continued in the three cities of Khartoum, and the military bombarded rapid support bases in Umm Durman and its center south. blew

Hamiti added that the war is over 3 months old and they are working hard with local and foreign actors to mitigate its effects.

“Peace and stability in a state of freedom, justice and equality,” he insisted, but still the choice of his forces.

As he said, we will not allow the defunct regime and its remnants to regain power, the Rapid Support Force Commander said.

He added that no victory, no matter how great, would inspire his forces to move forward with the courage to accept the option of a political solution to the roots of the crisis.

It is noteworthy that Hamiti has made only one public appearance with his fighters in Khartoum since the outbreak of fighting 3 months ago, and has contented himself with providing audio recordings or written statements.

On the ground, an Al-Jazeera reporter said today that Sudanese warplanes bombed gatherings of Rapid Support Forces near the sports city south of Khartoum.

The army’s marches also attacked Rapid Support groups in al-Zuraif, east of the Sudanese capital, and the strikes included the Rapid Support Forces’ Gawla camp in Khartoum.

On the refugee file, the flow of people fleeing the conflicts in Darfur to neighboring Chad continues. The number of Sudanese refugees in the Chadian city of “Atre” alone has reached around 100,000.

Chadian officials estimate the total number of refugees who have arrived in Chad since the start of the war in Sudan at around 250,000, stressing that these refugees are in urgent need of food, medicine and tents.

Since the conflict began in mid-April, more than 3,000 people have been killed, thousands injured, and more than 3 million displaced, including nearly 700,000 who have fled to neighboring countries.
