Three years after the death of Lebanese composer and producer Jean Saliba, his name has resurfaced strongly after it was announced that his heirs had submitted an official communication against star Amr Diab in conjunction with the announcement of his concert in Beirut on August 19.

Lebanese concert organizer Youssef Dandash said in a special statement to “Masrawi” that “the mutual problems between him and the late producer Amr Diab, the star, are currently being resolved.”

The star, Amr Diab, for his part, submitted an official communication against the Lebanese producer, confirming that he violated all the terms of the contract and failed to obtain the necessary permits for him and his music group, and a judgment has already been issued. The irony here is that the concert canceled by the crisis was scheduled to see star Amr Diab return to Lebanon after 6 years, while the concert scheduled for next August never came. 13 years.

Hasan Mawla, the legal advisor of the “lawyer of the company running the party”, in a special statement to “Masrawi”, said, “Everything raised about the party is just rumours. There is no legal complaint against the party or the artist. Amr Diab.”
And he continued, “We, for our part, are involved in taking legal action against all the websites and all those who promoted these rumours, because of the material and moral damages caused by the organizing company and the artist.”
Lebanese artist Farid Bou, “Syndicate Captain of Music and Singing Professionals and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Consolidated Mutual Fund for Artists,” said in a special statement to “Masrawi”. Artist Farid Bou Said said, “It is not true that artist Amr Diab is being refused permission to hold a concert.”
He continued, “10% of the cost of the concert, apart from the 2% paid to the Ministry of Finance, there are procedures and fees to be paid in support of the integrated mutual fund for artistes. , and in case of payment, all clearances are done and we welcome artist Amr Diab to Lebanon for our part in the syndicate”.

Star Amr Diab’s concert comes 13 years after he withdrew a revival of a New Year’s Eve party in Beirut in December 2010, sparking a legal dispute between him and the late Lebanese concert contractor Jean Saliba.
