According to Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, Dubai International Airport (DXP) is expected to reach 28 million international visitors this year as the aviation industry continues to suffer, especially from the Govt-19 epidemic.

This figure is particularly achievable because of the numerous reductions in demand recovery and controls implemented worldwide. Airport Terminal 1 will have to reopen its doors on June 23 after 15 months of closure (as a reminder, the latter has a capacity of 18 million passengers, against a total of 100 million across the airport). The reopening of Terminal 1 will create about 3,500 jobs in all sectors. Griffiths pointed out that this figure could reach 40 million “if we were very lucky”, but the most realistic estimates should be between 24.7 and 34.3 million. Al Maktoum International Airport, the other airport in the Emirates, is currently expected to be closed for commercial flights. At 1 p.m.There is During the quarter, DXP recorded 5.75 million passengers, down 67.8% from the same period last year, just before the epidemic. In 2020, 25.9 million passengers via DXP were 86.4 million in 2019, a 70% drop in arrivals.
