Latakia, 23rd February 2020 (WAM) — Responsible for following up on the special needs of the medical and health sectors in Syria, Dr. An Emirati medical team led by Salem Al-Falasi undertook a field trip. They inspected the Martyr Major General Hamza Nofal National, and Al-Basil Cardiology and Surgery, Maternity and Children’s Hospitals in Latakia Governorate as part of “The Gallant Night 2” operation.
The delegation was welcomed by Latakia Health Department Director Dr. Hawassen Makhlouf, Martyr General Hamza Nawbal National Hospital Director Dr. Siham Maklool, and Valiant Hospital for Cardiovascular Diseases and Surgery Medical Director Dr. Ghayat Bodour. Ahmad Al Farrah, director of the Maternity and Children’s Hospital, and many officials were present.
The delegation was briefed about the conditions of the three hospitals, visited their various departments and facilities and learned about the medical and therapeutic services they provide to the patients. Medical supplies, modern equipment and other requirements were identified.
As part of “The Gallant Night 2” activity, Dr. Salem Al-Balasi said the visit of an Emirati medical team consisting of several health officials in the country is to identify the needs of hospitals and the health sector.
