The Turkish Defense Ministry said a team of inspectors began examining the empty cargo ship on Friday before transporting grain from the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk under a deal to resume Ukrainian grain exports.
The ministry posted images on Twitter showing the inspection team boarding a boat to board the Barbados-flagged cargo ship Fulmar S, which was docked in the Black Sea north of the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul.
