Investing.com – U.S. equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the sectors , and .

At the close of trade in New York, it closed at 1.05%, while consolidating its position at 1.06%, up 0.90%.

The biggest gainers of the day were McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE: ), which rose 2.46% or 6.08 points to trade at 252.96. On the other hand, share Coca Cola Co (NYSE: ) subsequently rose 2.34% or 1.47 points to end at 64.38. Boeing Co (NYSE: ) which gained 2.28% or 3.12 points to end the session at 139.84.

On weak performance at the end of today’s trade, Intel Group (NASDAQ: ) lost 2.86% or 1.07 points to trade at 36.34 at the close. Shares of Nike Inc (NYSE: ) declined 1.00% or 1.02 points to 101.18 and 3M Group (NYSE: ) declined 0.71% or 0.92 points to 128.49.

On the other hand, the best performance in the S&P 500 index was recorded by stocks Etsy Inc (NASDAQ: ), which rose 9.02% to price 79.81, Bolt Group Inc. (NYSE:) continued its gains of 6.54% and closed at 42.22 levels, as well as Warner Bros Discovery Inc (NASDAQ:) stock, which rose 6.18% to trade at 14.25.

Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention the company’s stock Lam Research Corp (NASDAQ: ), which fell 7.35% to 394.83, KLI Tencore Company (NASDAQ: ), lost 7.15% to 296.26, and Applied Materials Company (NASDAQ: ), lost 5.18% to 5.18%. Today’s session price in the stock market is 86.27.

On the other hand, the best performance in the Nasdaq index was recorded by stocks Omeros Corp (NASDAQ: ), which rose 68.73% at 4.64, Clovis Oncology (NASDAQ:) continued its incline of 58.33% and closed at 2.85 levels, while the stock of Fast Radius Inc (NASDAQ:) moved up 41.15% to close at 0.89.

Among the worst performers today was Talaris Therapeutics (NASDAQ: ) which fell 49.00% to close at 2.30. Active Thrpe (NASDAQ: ), which lost 45.03% to 0.64 and Ensysce Biosciences Inc (NASDAQ: ), which lost 34.48% to close at 0.57 in the stock market today.

The New York Stock Exchange was trading at 2326 compared with 785, while 109 was unchanged. In terms of NASDAQ stock market, 2269 stocks strengthened their positions and 1437 stocks declined, while 223 stocks maintained their value.

Shares of Lam Research Corp (NASDAQ: ) traded down 7.35% or 31.32 to trade at 394.83, hitting a 52-week low. Shares of Applied Materials Company (NASDAQ:) declined 5.18% or 4.71 points to trade at 86.27 after hitting a 52-week low. Shares of Intel Group (NASDAQ: ) touched a 3-year low and declined 2.86% or 1.07 points to trade at 36.34. Shares of Nike Inc (NYSE: ) traded down 1.00% or 1.02 points to 101.18, hitting a 52-week low. Shares of 3M Group (NYSE: ) touched a 52-week low and declined 0.71% or 0.92 points to 128.49. Shares of Talaris Therapeutics (NASDAQ: ) fell to an all-time low, losing 49.00% or 2.21 to 2.30. Agile Thrpe (NASDAQ: )’s stock hit an all-time low and was down 45.03% or 0.52 points to trade at 0.64.

It traded down 7.00% to close at 26.70, which measures the implied standard deviation of options on the S&P 500 index.

Gold futures for August delivery rose 0.05%, or 0.95, to settle at $1,808.25 an ounce. In other commodities, WTI crude futures for August delivery rose 2.50%, or 2.64 points, to settle at $108.40 a barrel, while Brent crude for September was up 2.20%, or 2.40 points, at $111.43 a barrel.

The EUR/USD pair lost 0.48% to trade at 1.04 levels, while the USD/JPY continued its slide of 0.34% to reach 135.27 levels.

Dollar index contracts were up 0.39% to trade at 104.87.
