One US state has banned abortion from the first day of pregnancy

The governor of Oklahoma on Wednesday approved legislation banning all abortions from conception, making the Conservative stronghold in South America the most vulnerable in the country in voluntarily stopping pregnancy needs.

“I promise the people of Oklahoma that I, as governor, will sign any pro-life law that has been brought to me, and today I’m proud to fulfill that promise,” Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt said in a statement.

“In Oklahoma, we always stand up for life,” he added.

The law passed by Oklahoma was inspired by a law passed by Texas in September that allows women, or those who have had abortions, to be prosecuted, even without status.

By law, the definition of abortion includes “use of the pill in the morning, prescription, delivery or sale, or any form of contraception or emergency contraception.”

The law was passed by the state Congress in mid-May, just as the US Supreme Court was preparing to issue a decision overturning a ruling handed down half a century ago by this highest judicial body in the United States. Abortion is enshrined in the US Constitution.

If the Supreme Court finds its ruling leaked in early May, the ban or permission for abortion will return to each state individually.

Earlier this year, Politico announced that it wanted to overturn a landmark judgment of the U.S. Supreme Court in 1973, which enshrines women’s right to abortion in the US Constitution.

The newspaper said its information was backed by a majority of court members based on a February 10 draft decision prepared by Conservative Judge Samuel Alito, but the text is still being debated among court members and its final version is pending completion. In June.

If the Supreme Court upholds this ruling, the United States will revert to the pre-1973 status quo where every state was free to allow or prohibit abortion.

In 1973, the Supreme Court, at the conclusion of the “Row V. Wade” case, issued a precedent-setting judgment guaranteeing a woman’s right to voluntarily terminate her pregnancy as long as she was pregnant. From the beginning of pregnancy until about 22 weeks, the uterus cannot survive outside.

Republican-led states are trying to tighten restrictions on abortion, sometimes six weeks after conception, when many women completely ban it before they even realize they are pregnant.
