Following the Eid al-Fitr holiday, artist Nabila Obid announced at a major hotel in Cairo that she would be signing the book “Nabila Obaid Cinema” by author Mahmoud Qasim. , And this is the first complete book about his artistic career.

Ebeid began promoting the book through his account on Instagram: “Nabila Ebid’s book on cinema and a lengthy review of all my films in Egyptian cinema … Written by researcher and film historian Mahmoud Qasim, a surprise. Surprise yourself, wait soon.”

This book does not refer to the biography of the artist Nabila O’Brien, especially since he previously declared that his personal life was a “red line” and that it did not belong only to him, and he said: I deny the story of my life. Subject matter, I will write a will in this matter.

He continued, “It is true that I write my memoirs myself, but I completely refuse to turn it into a cinematic or theatrical work because autobiographical works have failed miserably.”

Over the 50 years, especially from 1960 to 1990, he watched 86 films for the first Egyptian star, and chapters on the most important directors he collaborated with in his works, especially Yusuf Sahin, Salah Abu Seef, Adef Salem (who invented her), and Niazi Mustafa, Hassan al- Imam, Ahmad Zia Al-Din, then Hussein Kamal, Muhammad Radi, Ali Abdul-Galik, Ashraf Fahmi, Muhammad Khan, Adef Al-Tayeb, Saeed Marzouk, Ahmad Yahya, Zamir Seif, Enas al-Deghaidi and Khaled Many, he puts forward the inspiration for his collaborations with author Ihsan Abdul Qutb’s novels and screenwriter Mustafa Muharram.

It is noteworthy that two years ago Nabila Obeid announced that she would soon be releasing a book tracking her cinematic career, produced by art historian “Mahmoud Qasim”, who has been developing a study entitled “Cinema Nabila Obeid” since 2018. Observing his artistic changes and how he collaborated with some of the greatest directors and writers, he made films that were leading the way in revenue in Egyptian cinema and earned him the title of Egypt’s first star.
