Attendance rate reached 60% .. Distance education required in private schools on Friday

Yesterday, the first Friday of the third semester, private schools in Abu Dhabi saw a high number of students absent, reaching 60 per cent in some schools, amid expectations from school principals and teachers that students were not coming in large numbers at all seminars. Although students are invited to use education after Friday, it is still the same as in public schools, especially the two-hour school day.

In detail, officials at private schools in Abu Dhabi confirmed that “those who do not wish to be named” were expecting a large number of students to register attendance on Friday, so they informed students and their families of the possibility of registering attendance by email. -Learning sites, obtaining explanatory papers and reviewing subjects, pointing out that no, due to the decision of the Department of Education and Knowledge to provide face-to-face education to all students, lessons can be provided directly through the Internet. .

They pointed out that it would be nice and convenient to allow schools to offer students and their families the opportunity to apply for distance education on Friday, and student attendance will continue for the rest of the week. Families who are unable to attend on time for student departures.

Despite calls on social media and WhatsApp groups for students to change the school day from real to virtual (remote), they insisted that every Friday, especially during the month of Ramadan, would be better for students. Hours of the day. Since the school day is Friday, it is appropriate to be away, convenient for students and their families, as it is usually three and a half to four hours on regular school days. Friday school time was reduced to two hours.
