The Dubai Municipality has confirmed that there are no contaminated Kinder Chocolate in Emirate’s markets and that the manufacturing company has precautionarily withdrawn the affected products from the local markets.

In response to Emirates Today’s inquiries, the municipality explained that it was monitoring the withdrawal of “Conder Eq” chocolate product from the British market due to contamination by salmonella, which caused toxic cases in the UK, most of them children.

The particularly affected product is the Kinder Surprise Maxi 100 g, which expires on October 1, 2022.

The municipality confirmed that the affected product was not in the Dubai Emirates market and that the company holding the Emirates branch brand “Kinder” had precautionarily withdrawn the affected product from the local market.

The Dubai Municipality said there were no injuries due to the product, and the municipality is constantly monitoring all food items, including chocolate products, to ensure their safety and consumption.
