US Secretary of State Anthony Blingen has announced that Washington will supply $ 100 million worth of anti-tank javelin missiles to Kiev to help Ukraine.
“I am acting in accordance with the President’s approval received earlier today.
“The world was shocked and horrified by the atrocities committed by Russian forces throughout Pucha and Ukraine,” he added.
“The United States, along with our allies and partners, strongly supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” he said.
On April 1, the Pentagon announced another $ 300 million in military aid to Kiev.
Blinken explained that this additional aid brings to the total value of $ 1.7 billion in military aid provided by Washington to Kiev since the outbreak of the Russo-Ukrainian war on February 24.
In a separate statement, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said, “The United States aims to meet the urgent Ukrainian demand for more Javelin anti-tank systems provided to Ukraine and the latter used effectively for self-defense.”
Shoulder-to-shoulder spearhead missiles have proven to be very effective in the Ukrainian military’s response to Russian tanks.
