One of the most important new devices announced by Apple at the first virtual conference of 2022 was the “Mac Studio” with its “Studio Display” screen.
Meanwhile, Apple has stopped selling the iMac with a 27-inch screen because it is no longer available as the official Mac option.
According to Apple’s Nine to Five Mac website, rumors have been circulating at the same time that this may indicate that Apple is running the new “iMac Pro”, but this will not be the case.
However, company sources said that Apple has no plans to release a new version of the iMac with a larger screen.
New Display Studio
Following its release, good news appeared for Windows users looking to enjoy the new Apple devices announced at the company’s first virtual conference this year.
In particular, for those who want to use the Apple screens announced at the “Apple Studio Display” conference in March, the screen will be integrated with various Windows devices, but with conditions.
The Verge technology news site has revealed that the Studio Display is recognized as a normal display when connected to a Windows computer via a Thunderbolt connection.
However, the site makes it clear that the Thunderbolt feature is not supported on all Windows devices, and as a user you should keep a few things in mind before using the screen on Windows devices.
According to Apple, users can run a 12-megapixel webcam, microphone and speakers built into Windows applications.
Windows users will not be able to take advantage of other features such as Center Stage, the feature that focuses on a person’s image during a video call or video recording, only on macOS.
And spatial audio support with Dolby Atmos or Hey Siri, to take advantage of all the features of the Apple Studio display, you need a Mac running Mac.
