Saudi movie starring special needs people .. will be released tomorrow

Date:

“Heroes” is set to release on March 10 in all theaters in Saudi Arabia and select theaters in the Middle East.

The film has a positive message amidst many laughs in the story of the arrogant professional football coach Khalid, who was appointed to coach a group of people with special needs as part of his community service due to his bad behavior.

However, he quickly learns from this experience that his focus should not be on success because team members help him easily transcend those around him through their kindness, innocence and humor.

The “Heroes” story also deals with the personal developmental aspect of Khalid’s character, and revolves around emotions such as love, compassion and empowerment. She also talks about some serious problems.

“The best form of education”

For his part, film star Yasser al-Saqqaf commented: “Humor sometimes provides the best form of education.”

Al-Saqqaf plays the lead role as the team’s coach, while Fatima al-Banawi plays his fiance.

It is worth noting that the film was produced by Lula al-Arabiya and al-Maha, who produced the film “Born a King”, which tells the story of the late King Faisal bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud.

The producers also worked with The Aid Center, a non-profit Jetta-based non-profit organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities.

“Awesome Actors”

Academy Award-winning producer Andres Vicente Gomez said: “We do not want to use professional actors to play characters with special needs, which goes against the message that the film tries to convey to the public, and they are honestly the best actors. Set the precedent.

It is noteworthy that the idea for the Saudi film “Heroes”, which was filmed in Jetta at the height of the corona epidemic, was taken from the Spanish film “Combions”, which repeats the critically acclaimed story. But a template was enabled for the Arab audience.
