The Dominican Republic celebrated its National Day at Ex Was 2020 in Al Wasl Square, Dubai, with the presence of the Vice President of the Dominican Republic, His Excellency Raquel Bena de Antonia, the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, in the presence of the Commissioner 2020 , Minister of State for International Cooperation, Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai and officials from both countries and the Dominican community in the country.
The ceremony began with the hoisting of the flags of the United Arab Emirates and the Dominican Republic, followed by the playing of the national anthems of the two allies on the stage in Al Wasl Square, the heartbeat of Dubai for Expo 2020. In his speech, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Rahul Bena de Antonia welcomed his visit to the United Arab Emirates and Expo 2020 Dubai: “By participating in (Expo 2020 Dubai), the Dominican Republic invites visitors and the United Arab Emirates to find. We are proud of the relations between the Dominican Republic and the partnerships we have forged in various fields, including renewable energy, logistics and trade. ”
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan expressed his desire to strengthen ties between the two friendly countries and to build greater partnerships in new areas for their people and their well-being.
For his part, Her Excellency de Antonia said his country’s participation in this international event embodied its commitment to further strengthen its relationship with the United Arab Emirates, noting the importance of foreign investment in achieving economic and social development. He stressed that the government of the Dominican Republic must continue to work to improve the living standards of all Dominicans.
He further added that the only way forward is to work with other countries, adding that “Kovit-19” highlights the importance of inter-communal relations and cooperation, and is likely to emerge stronger if we work together. Challenges we face today .. We all firmly believe that relations based on the mutual benefit of our two countries are strengthening. He congratulated the United Arab Emirates for organizing this huge global exhibition, overcoming the challenges of the “epidemic”. The festival includes a collection of song and dance performances covering the different and diverse cultures and traditions of the people of the Dominican Republic.
At the end of the celebration, His Excellency the Vice President of the Dominican Republic, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan toured the Dominican Republic’s pavilion at “Expo 2020”, which represents a small model. Hosting tradition, nature and hospitality for the country and its visitors for its visitors, it enjoys the tradition, nature and hospitality associated with the homeland, a mix of different races that make up the Dominican people, making the Caribbean country famous for its festival crowd.
