Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel said the team needed to “recharge their batteries” as the 1-1 draw against Brighton in the Premier League on Tuesday was due to stress in the team’s poor performance in the draw.
Chelsea took the lead in the first half with a goal from Morocco’s Hakeem Jiech, and Adam Webster equalized in the second half with Brighton equalizing.
Chelsea were top of the Premier League at the start of last December, but are currently three points behind Manchester City, having won just two of their last nine league games.
Duchess again blamed the match schedule, revealing he planned to give his players a two-day break ahead of Sunday’s scheduled game against Tottenham.
When asked about the reason for the team’s recent decline in league conditions, the German coach said: “I have answered this question a hundred times, looking at our situation with regard to injuries, key players injured and Kovit cases. Infections, and if you look at our competition schedule, you will find the answer. “
Tuchel added: “We are stressed and physically stressed. In our performance, you can see that it’s just that. We need to charge our batteries and restore stability.
“This is how I feel, for which I will give the players two days off and then use Fridays and Saturdays to prepare for Sunday’s match,” he added, in a statement released by the British news agency PA Media.
