The Digital Government of the United Arab Emirates stated that there are 7 specific conditions for the equivalence of high school certificates, stressing that the Ministry of Education is the authority empowered to equate school and general secondary education certificates for various academic courses in the UAE. This service is applicable to certificates obtained by the student from within or outside the country.
He explained that to claim equality, the student must be a resident of the UAE and prove his identity by submitting a copy of his UAE-issued card and a copy of his passport. He will have to submit the original certificates, especially the quality certificates (10, 11 and 12), which will be returned to him after verification. For some students, original attested certificates of “TOEFL” or “IELTS” and “EMSAT” are also required to be submitted.
Certificates submitted for equivalence must be duly attested by the Ministry of Education or a recognized educational authority in the issuing country, and a legal translation of foreign certificates not issued in Arabic or English must be provided and duly attested. Indicating that there are other special conditions depending on the course studied by the student (Ministerial, American, British or other).
“Digital Government” said that individuals can visit the Ministry of Education’s main offices in Abu Dhabi or Dubai or register on the ministry’s website and submit the application electronically after completing the electronic application from the customer.
He invited the dealers and those who wish to apply for equalization to check the necessary conditions and documents through special links on the Ministry’s website.
He added that through the website of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai and through the website of the Department of Education, there are requirements for certificates of high school graduates and special requirements equivalent to certificates. Knowledge – Abu Dhabi.
