In detail, the association said in its awareness-raising work paper on consumer rights and obligations, the right to compensation for consumers requires the provision of proper after-sales services and the obligation to provide a warranty for a specified period. It improves the confidence of the consumer in his dealings with the market and provides him with stability.
He explained that the rights of the consumer include the right to protection, the right to protection against products, services and ideas that cause harm and health accidents in his life and the right to obtain adequate, accurate and reliable information by being protected from misleading means. , commercial fraud, false information about advertisements and covers and special packages
He affirmed the right of consumers to choose products and goods from multiple outlets at competitive prices, while ensuring quality, the absence of this right leads to monopoly in the market, which affirms the need to compel merchants with laws that support competition.
The association added that it is the right of consumers to have their say in government policy-making, business enterprises and pleasure to ensure proper expression of consumer preferences. A clean environment and the right to education, acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to practice informed choices between goods and services, noting the importance of establishing education and training courses and media investments, must take into account material conditions to ensure this right to consumers. By developing training and awareness programs for people with limited income and by spreading a culture of educating consumers about their fair rights through all means and at all educational levels.
The association pointed out that consumers have 10 obligations, namely, to read the country of origin data, to confirm the source of the goods, to request the original purchase invoice from the seller, and to roam the market for a sufficient period of time.
