A total of 132 new (Covid-19) cases have been registered today, Friday, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection announced. Meanwhile, no deaths were recorded.
In its weekly bulletin of (Covid-19) results covering the period from the seventh of this October to the thirteenth of the same month, the Ministry highlights that the number of vaccinated people has reached 24 million, 924 thousand 232. Those who received the first dose. The number of people vaccinated with the second dose increased to 23 million, 426 thousand 145 people. A total of 6,886,923 people also received a third dose of antiviral vaccine, compared with 61,163 who received a fourth booster dose.
The ministry added that since the first case was reported on March 2, 2020, the new number of people infected with the virus brought the number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to one million, 277 thousand 82. Rate” is approximately 5.1 percent.
New cases of infection were registered in Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (52), Casablanca-Settat (34), Fez-Meknes (26), Souss-Massa (11), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (4) and Dra. -Tafilalet (2).Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (2), and Marrakesh-Safi (1).
With no deaths reported in the past week, the total number of deaths is estimated at 16,297 (a general mortality index of 1.3 percent). The total number of active cases reached 152.
